Weather disrupts ferries      22/12/12

Today’s daytime sailing of the Stornoway ferry has been cancelled due to storm force winds in the Minch. The MV Isle of Lewis is stuck in Ullapool until tonight at least. If the conditions ease she may sail to Lewis this evening. However seas are rough. Intending passengers should check with Cal Mac.

The Harris and Lochmaddy ferry is running late today as a consequence of the bad weather and extra traffic heading for the mainland including bookings diverted from the cancelled Stornoway service. The MV Finlaggan is about an hour behind schedule on each leg of the service today.

The Sound of Barra ferry service has been cancelled until Sunday.
