Airport security staff wear it pink             25/10/11

Stornoway Airport security staff are swapping their uniforms for pink attire this Friday for a fundraising day in aid of breast cancer awareness.

They will be welcoming passengers and visitors into the airport terminal to have the chance to enter a specially arranged raffle and tombola in return for a donation to the charity.

Raffle prizes are set to offer a host of goodies including jewellery, dinner vouchers, hairdressing vouchers and Harris Tweed amongst others.

Duncan Smith, Airport Manager at Stornoway explained: “Each member of staff taking part will donate £2 to Breast Cancer Campaign on the day and will wear something pink for this really good cause.

“There are thousands of people affected by breast cancer in the UK today and every donation counts towards improving lives, research into the disease and, one day to hopefully find a cure.”

He added: “Everyone is welcome to what should be a really good day, so please drop in and come and join in the fun for a great cause.”
