Teen fought police officers                  11/12/11

A Lewis teenager was ordered to undertake 150 hours of unpaid community work for committing a raft of offences.

James Pearson of 51 Back was also placed on a community payback order as well as tagged. He must obey a 9pm to 6pm curfew for the next six months.

The 17-year-old uttered threats of violence and persistently banging on windows of a bus at Back on 29th April.  He also struggled with two police constables.

In a separate incident the following month, the teenager struggled and fought with three police officers at his home address.

On 18th June at Stornoway police station he uttered offensive remarks.

He previously admitted the charges and appeared at Stornoway Sheriff Court this week for sentencing.
