Sunday ferry sailings delays              30/12/12

Today’s (Sun) ferry sailings are liable to delays and cancellations because of heavy seas and high winds.  A Force 10 storm with wind speeds exceeding 60mph is forecast to affect the islands during the day.

Sunday ferry times for sailings for Tarbert, Lochmaddy and Skye will not be known until the morning and are subject to change.

After a rough crossing, the MV Finlaggan eventually arrived at Tarbert after 10.30pm and is weatherbound overnight.

The MV Clansman will not sail until storm force winds abate on Sunday night. Her departure to Castlebay and Lochboisdale is delayed by four and half hours to 7.40pm.

She is due to arrive in Barra at half past midnight (Mon) and in South Uist at 2.15am

She will depart Lochboisdale at 9am, Monday, Castlebay at 10.45am to arrive Oban at 15.35pm.
