Cow stuck in bog 1/8/11
A cow stuck in a peat bog gave Benbecula fire crew a weighty problem on Saturday. Fire men used small gear and a length of hose to release the animal.
On Lewis, the alarm was raised after fumes from a burning TV set off a smoke detector at a property on the westside of Lewis. Shawbost and Ness crews attended.
