Hundreds of islanders gathered to enjoy a family Hogmanay fireworks display in Stornoway
town centre on New Year’s Eve.
Traffic was diverted so revellers could participate in danns’ an rathaid (street
dance) to the music of the Stuart Taylor Ceilidh Band.
The rain stayed off for the event as young and old flocked to Bayhead to watch the
fireworks burst into the night sky over the Lews Castle.
The event was organised by Stornoway Amenity Trust and Stornoway Round Table.
