Chance to see plans to revamp Stornoway harbour     4/2/13

Stornoway Port Authority is holding an Open Day this Friday to share proposals for the next stage of the Inner Harbour Regeneration Project with stakeholders and the public.

The project involves plans to improve the quality and number of pontoon berths available in Stornoway’s Inner Harbour, including proposals to install 43 new berths for larger yachts.

The port authority invites all members of the public to share their views on the proposals and provide any suggestions for improvements to the Inner Harbour area.

The all-day event will be held in Stornoway Town Hall and will include a presentation by Mr John Porteous from Wallace Stone, the civil engineering consultancy who are working with the Port Authority on the project.

All are welcome to attend the drop-in event. Opening times will be 10am until 8pm
