Fire crews called to fishing boat 26/7/11
Fire crews were called to a fire onboard a fishing boat on South Uist at the weekend.
The alarm was raised around 4.30pm on Sunday afternoon.
Lochboisdale and Benbecula fire teams used a water jet to extinguish the fire.
The wheelhouse of the 16.5 metre scallop dredger sustained damage due to the flames.
Before leaving the scene, firemen also deployed a thermal imaging camera to seek out any hidden hotspots which could reignite.
