South Ford public meeting              15/11/11

The results of the South Ford Hydrodynamic Study will be presented to local residents at a public meeting to be held in Talla an Iochdair, South Uist beginning at 7.30pm during the evening of Wednesday 23rd November and all are welcome to attend.

The objective of the meeting is to present the findings of the Study so that the community hears them at first hand. There will be the opportunity to ask questions and make comments.

The meeting is intended to be consultative and people will be asked to provide questions and comments for a short period until the final report is completed.

The public meeting is intended to contribute to the report on the study and the final report will be completed after the meeting and will incorporate relevant comments received from local residents.

The study is managed by a joint client group consisting of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, the Aberdeen Institute for Coastal Science and Management at the University of Aberdeen, Scottish Natural Heritage, SEPA, and the Iochdar Flood Action Group, and it is financed by the Scottish Government.
