SNP take politically correct line         23/11/11

Sirs,

I suppose that the SNP have to follow the norm in our society, one must be seen as politically correct. Angus Campbell (17/11/11) asks the question what is Labour’s take on the gay question - it was this sordid party that bought in Section 28 into our schools.

One would think it should trouble the well known SNP backer Brian Souter, who was aghast at the thought of section 28 but is very quiet since he was knighted, about the party line the SNP are taking.

Christianity, one must ask, what is that? In my opinion it is only practiced by the minority, yet the majority, if asked, will say that they are Christian as the term is getting vague by the day as teachers don’t honour it and cannot pass the practice to children.

If one is to act on Bible teaching, firstly one needs to read the Bible, cover to cover and not bits of it and not leave it to priests and ministers to give their point of view on what is taught in the Bible.

The teaching in the Old Testament and the New Testament is very clear, man shall not lie with man. Every religion throughout the world that gives praise to God also declares that homosexual practices are taboo.

Benbecula
