Treated like second class citizens 2/11/11
Sirs,
o people in the Western Isles know that you cannot get a dual fuel quote through most providers of dual fuel quotes?
British Gas are the only suppliers of gas to these islands so any dual fuel quote you may get is totally invalid. I found this out last year when comparison websites quoted dual fuel prices only to find that no one else can supply gas here except British Gas.
I reported this to my MP and to the WHICH magazine. Being given quotes through these comparison websites is totally misleading for residents here but nothing has been done to rectify this to date.
The same thing happened with a motor insurance quote for motor "home emergency response" but this was rectified by the company offering an apology and as recompense, sending a luxury hamper as they couldn't provide this service.
Why, oh why, are we always treated like second class citizens when it comes to basic rights. Same with the ongoing fuel debate. Wake up SNP we live in Scotland.
We deserve better and should be told/provided with the truth when it comes to basic information. It's hardly rocket science, or is it?
