Scouts postal service raises funds         20/1/13

2nd Stornoway Scouts have raised £103 for troop funds from running a Christmas Post service.

Over 300 cards were posted by members of the public at a cost of 30p per item. The scouts then sorted the mail and delivered it themselves. As well as providing a service to the community the Scouts also discovered that it helped their local knowledge.

The scouts are thanking those who supported then and are grateful to the hospital, Bank of Scotland, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and the Nicolson Institute for hosting their post boxes.
