Vehicle smashed into wall 1/1/13
The driver of a car legged it after the vehicle smashed into a wall a couple of hours
after the Bells.
The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and failed to negotiate a bend
in the road around 1.50am this morning.
Both the wall and the car were damaged as a result of the accident at East Street,
Sandwick, outside Stornoway.
The driver absconded from the scene but police say they are following a positive
line of inquiry.
