Pair guilty of public indecency 22/7/11
A couple coming home from church on a Sunday evening were horrified to spot two men exposing themselves in Stornoway town centre.
Philip Travis and Stephen Tickle were each fined £600 for the public indecency act which happened on North Beach Street on 12th June.
The roofers who were working on construction project on the island were very drunk.
Stornoway Sheriff Court was told Stephen Tickle, 35, of 2 Wheatfield Close, St Helens, also made gestures. He and Philip Travis, 32, of Bideford Avenue, St Helens, pleaded guilty to the offence.
Sheriff David Sutherland said he would have fined them £900 each but for their early plea.
