Princess Anne is UHI chancellor 11/11/11
The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) has appointed Princess Anne as its first ever Chancellor.
The Chancellor is the ceremonial head of the university and the princess will act as an ambassador, participating in conferring degrees at graduations as well representing the UHI in the UK and overseas.
A date for the formal installation of the new Chancellor is expected to be set for 2012.
