Jamie McGrigor, Highlands and Islands Scottish Conservative MSP, is to give the key note speech at a major Crofting Law conference to be held in Edinburgh on 22nd September.

Jamie will deliver the speech in his capacity as Convenor of the Scottish Parliament’s Cross Party Group on Crofting at the event organised by the influential Society of Writers to Her Majesty's Signet which is to be held in the Signet Library in the capital.

The conference is to be chaired by Lord McGhie, the Chairman of the Scottish Land Court and President of the Lands Tribunal for Scotland.

Jamie said: “It is a great honour to have been asked to open this conference as we move towards implementation of the Crofting Reform (Scotland) Act 2010.

“I plan to cover a range of issues including how we ensure our crofting communities are sustainable and diversification from traditional crofting activities.”
