Man urinated on cell floor 7/7/11
A man who urinated in a police cell and then overflowed the toilet flooding the floor has been placed on a substance treatment order.
David Hugh Brown, 58, of 4 Airigh a’ Bhreide, North Tolsta, Lewis, previously pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour in the cell at Stornoway police station on the evening of Monday 6th June.
At Stornoway Sheriff Court fiscal David Teale explained Brown had been arrested for allegedly being drunk and incapable. In the cell, he took off his clothes and jammed them into the toilet pan
He said Brown then urinated on the cell floor and persistently flushed the blocked lavatory, overflowing onto the floor and resulting in a pool of water and urine to seep under the door and into the corridor.
Brown also previously admitted behaving disorderly by shouting and swearing and putting two women in a state of fear and alarm at a house in Ross Terrace, Stornoway on 8th April.
