Hotel bill cheat gets prison accommodation 15/2/13
A man who stayed at island guest houses and failed to pay his bills got free prison
accommodation for six months when he was sentenced at Stornoway Sheriff Court this
week.
Craig Kerr, whose address was given as 79 Seaforth Road, Stornoway, wined and dined
at three establishments on Lewis and Harris during the first week of the New Year.
He cheated the Loch Erisort Inn when he stayed there between January 2 to the 4th.
He then moved on to Hotel Hebrides in Harris, where he also stole two bath robes,
for the next two nights before detouring to a B&B in Great Bernera, Lewis.
The 27-year-old ran up bills totalling £600 but never had any intention of paying.
