Hebrides News

Sir,

Re his recent letter: Sparks fly over council's energy tariff,  I would point out to Cllr Manford that I was replying in terms of the letter Cllr Murray put in the public domain.

This not only did not respect the democratic decision but sought to undermine what councillors were trying to achieve.

Despite Cllr Manford dressing it up in political rhetoric, these are matters of fact.

I would again invite Cllr Manford and Cllr Murray to sit down with officers to understand the process. I believe that we should all be working together to reduce fuel poverty in these islands.

Cllr Angus Campbell

Leader

Comahirle nan Eilean Siar
