More viewers switch on to Gaelic TV 20/10/11
Gaelic television channel BBC ALBA is experiencing a boost in new viewers since the station was made available on Freeview and Virgin Media’s Cable.
Over half a million people are watching the channel every week. About 13% of adults are switching on.
The figures have doubled since being made available on Freeview.
This figure is for those tuning into the channel in Scotland only and does not take
account of exiles watching elsewhere in the UK It also does not include the under-
