Flood alert       30/12/12

A flood alert has been issued for Western Isles by environment agency SEPA.

It warns there is a risk of some coastal flooding to low lying ground is possible on exposed west and south west facing coasts especially around the time of high tide on Monday.

High tide will generally peak between 7 and 8 o’clock at both ends of the day on Monday. As it coincides with gale force winds, waves and debris may wash over some sea defences and causeways.
