Ferry weather-bound 24/1/13
The MV Clansman will be weather-bound in Barra tonight due to forecasted southerly
winds of up to 50 knots.
The ferry will also swap around her island ports’ timetable tonight due to bad weather.
Friday’s outward leg from Oban has also been cancelled. As a result the Clansman
is waiting for essential freight and foodstuffs to arrive and will now leave Oban
until around 6pm Thursday.
She is due to arrive in Lochboisdale at 10.50pm and Castlebay at half past midnight
(Friday).
The return voyage has been cancelled and the Clansman will depart Castlebay at 9.30am
tomorrow.
Tonight’s inward sailing from Castleaby to Lochboisdale has also been cancelled.
