An enemy within                 25/7/11

Sirs,

In recent times we hear much ado about survival of our native language and its culture, here is the real story in verse.

The Betrayal

Our language is in danger

and our culture is missing deeds,

But our ain folks keep driving nails,

and implanting alien seeds.

They come in 4x4's

golf sticks and jogging shoes in tow,

To build their little grottos,

With much security and many gates.

The ride-on mower is out in force

No time for stories now,

With grotto maintenance to do ,

and jogs at dawn and dusk.

They keep perfect accounting notes

of bank and garbage days,

No time to share my stories or my songs,

Cause that would not be cool!

No! they do not want to hear them,

Because their real and true,

For money is not my rhythm,

and 'no gossip' the strictly core.

They have taken all the implants

Their city style and all,

And other worldly items too,

but none will praise the Lord.

When money is more important

Than humans and their souls,

Its time to check your mortality ,

For its a cert for one and all.

Its sad to see the betrayal

Of all that’s good and true.

By people of our own true blood,

Who drag alien ways to us.

How can a culture live?

With folk like that around,

No one can share a story ,

But have lots of time for jogs.

Our past has been discarded

But I will stand alone

And then in truth and love will say

Of this world I do not care.

We can never save our language

Or our culture, I can see,

When we have an enemy within,

Among our own true land and blood.
