Drinking ban            21/7/11

A man who was heard bawling at his partner by a telephone caller was banned from drinking for 12 months at Stornoway Sheriff Court yesterday (wed).

Iain Munro, 44, whose gave his address as 4 Lewis Street, Stornoway, was shouting while she was on the phone on 12 May.

The person on the other end of the line called police said procurator fiscal David Teale.

Sheriff David Sutherland also imposed a one year community payback order including 100 hours of unpaid work, alcohol treatment supervision as well as attendance on the Road to Recovery programme.
