Over the next few weeks, hundreds of young Gaels will come together, representing the thirty schools from across Scotland, challenging for Cuach na Cloinne 2011.
46 teams will participate in this year’s competition – the highest ever number of entries. Cuach na Cloinne is organised by Comunn na Gàidhlig and funded by local authorities and other agencies.
Following the success of previous years’ competitions, CnaG has organised the 2011 competition with six regional competitions being held from which two teams from each competition will qualify for the Finals which will be held in Fort William on 1 October 2011.
The regional competitions will be held in Lewis, Uist, Plockton and Inverness on the 3rd September, in Oban, for the first time, on 9th September and finally in Glasgow on the 10th September.
