Ferry detour for music festival        24/7/11

There will be disruptions to the Lochboisdale and Castlebay ferry tomorrow (Mon).

The MV Clansman is diverting to Tiree on the return trip to pick up extra vehicles and additional passengers from the Tiree Music Festival.

The ferry departs South Uist earlier than normal and the detour will add 70 minutes onto the voyage to Oban.

Caledonian MacBrayne apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Clansman will now leave Lochboisdale at 7am, arriving at Castlebay 90 minutes later.

She will depart Barra at 8.50am and is due to call in at Tiree at 11.35am.

A quick turnaround will see her sailing 25 minutes later and she hopes to dock in Oban at 3.20pm.
