Misleading info on ferry 8/3/13
Sirs,
Last night’s Cal Mac’s service status said that the morning ferry (leaving at the
crack of dawn) was NORMAL for 08/03/13. Yet, I was told by friends - who seem to
know more than Cal Mac do - that the ferry was already cancelled because our lifeline
service and sole ferry is broken down.
This is not good enough. Not only is the lifeline service not working but the information to the public is misleading. I do not want to get up at 5am unless I have to.
By the same token, if I hear that the ferry is cancelled and I have to get off the island, I would like to be notified in plenty of time if it is repaired and I have the chance of making the ferry.
Why despite numerous complaints do Caledonian Macbrayne not keep the customers informed of ferry cancellations etc despite the fact that technology is at their fingertips?
