Over 50 people raised an estimated £600 for the Bethesda cancer hospice and care home in Stornoway.
The cash was raised by its annual summer charity walk around the town on Friday night which was sponsored by Robert Doig.
But numbers were down by more than half compared to the 130 walkers participating in 2010.
Its thought that the later date this time clashed with a number of events including the circus. Many supporters are also away on holiday.
