Barra hotel for sale 20/7/11

The Isle of Barra hotel is up for sale with a price tag of over £950,000.

The 39-bedroom hotel overlooking Tangasdale Beach was originally built in 1973 to resemble the upturned hull of a shipwreck.

Trade is said to be very profitable for current owners, Teresa Jenkins and Guy Adams, despite being only fully open for half the year.

New owners could build upon development plans for the business say agents Frank Knight.

The sellers hope to capitalise on Barrra’s TV fame pointing out the hotel has made a number of appearances on the An Island Parish series
