A youth refused to stopped attempting to fight people in Stornoway town centre, Stornoway Sheriff Court was told.

Lewis Miller was also shouting and swearing during the incident at Point Street and Cromwell Street on 5 February.

Miller, from the Battery in Stornoway, also obstructed four police officers.

He pulled one constable to the ground, struggled violently, tensed his arms and kicked out his legs.

Miller admitted both charges and was fined a total of £600.
