Yacht runs aground

Leverburgh lifeboat went to the aid of a yacht which ran aground at Peter's Port in Benbecula.

The lifeboat launched at 7am this (Wed) morning and steamed south to the casualty.

The stranded vessel - which had four people onboard - managed to refloat on the incoming tide with help from two salmon farm boats.

The lifeboat escorted the yacht to a safe berth in Kallin Harbour.
