Sirs,
In reading the news that the two giant windfarms projects have amalgamated, I think the message from Mr Campbell would have been more aptly put like this: “The acquisition of Uisenis Wind Farm by Lewis Wind Power presents a fantastic opportunity to see this wind farm constructed, and utterly destroy the natural and beautiful landscape of the island forever."
In committing to the use of onshore renewables, they are in the same breath committed to destroying the natural island landscape, the same way as this Scottish Government is destroying Scotland's natural wild landscape, with not even a national park escaping the windfarm steamroller.
It is all about money and big business, let no one tell you otherwise, with the views of local people being ignored, in a supposed "demoracy."
