Western Isles murder accused is granted bail 2/2/12
The second of two men accused of murdering South Uist teenager Liam Aitchison has been granted bail.
It is alleged Jonathan Alexander Mackinnon, of Stornoway, and Stefan Millar, of Carloway,
Lewis, both aged 21 years, killed the 16-
Jonathan Mackinnon was released on bail at Inverness Sheriff Court earlier this week.
Stefan Millar was previously released on bail to a mainland address.
Both had been initially remanded in custody after previously appearing at Inverness Sheriff Court.
Neither had made any plea or declaration and were fully committed for trial.
Liam Aitchison was found dead in a derelict house by the village of Steinish, two miles from Stornoway, at the beginning of December.
The teenager was from Lochboisdale in South Uist -
His funeral had been delayed for two days after his body was held in leaving Oban, following post a mortem in Inverness, due to a winter storm disrupting ferry services.
Virtually every family on South Uist was represented as some 400 mourners attended his funeral service at St Peter's church in Daliburgh.
In addition to family wreaths, there was one from the villagers of Steinish, Lewis, where Liam's body was found.
