A new weather warning for ice has been issued.
The Met Office says scattered wintry showers will be replaced by a longer spell of
rain and sleet for a time tonight (Thursday).
The warning covers the Western Isles until 10am on Friday morning.
As temperatures dip below freezing, there is a risk of ice formation on untreated
surfaces, especially inland.
Icy roads could result in difficult travel conditions while people risk injuries
from slips and falls on slippery surfaces.
