Two islanders are running as candidates for the Western Isles area in the Crofting Commission elections.
Alasdair Maceachen of Benbecula is the comhairle’s head of Uist and Barra services.
Stornoway Trust factor, Iain Maciver, of Laxay has also been nominated.
A postal ballot will be held in the coming weeks with a March 16 deadline.
