Forecasters warned that gale force northwesterly winds will continue to affect the Hebrides and northern Scotland overnight.
The Met Office has extended its severe “high winds” alert into Tuesday morning.
Some delays to road, air and ferry transport are likely.
Gusts of 50 to 60 mph are expected.
Winds will then gradually moderate through Tuesday morning.
