Upgrade grant for island war memorial 11/11/14
An island war memorial is to receiving a funding grant to pay for repair and conservation measures.
The Centenary Memorials Restoration Fund has awarded £2,930 to the North Tolsta monument.
Scottish communities are still eligible to apply for the £1 million funding pot to ensure their local war memorials are a fitting tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Around 600 war memorials in Scotland are thought to be in poor condition and could benefit from grants.
