A drunken vandal handed himself into police after sobering up.
At Stornoway Sheriff Court, Tor Mikalsen pleaded guilty to using a wooden post to smash a door at the Nicolson Institute's technical department.
The island visitor was fined £350 and ordered to pay £200 compensation.
