Fire crew attend unsupervised bonfire 6/11/14
A fire crew was called out to an unsupervised bonfire in Lewis last night.
Tyres had been thrown onto the fire in School Road, North Tolsta, and left to burn.
The alarm was raised at 8.45pm.
One appliance from Stornoway attended and extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
Last night, 5 November, was Bonfire Night.
Firefighters responded to over 500 bonfires 999 calls across Scotland, many of which related to bonfires that were unsupervised or endangered homes and other buildings.
