Islander jailed after unlawful sexual activity with girl 28/8/14

A Lewis man has been jailed after he admitted unlawful sexual activity with a girl under 16 years.

Kenneth John Macleod of 10B Achmore, Lewis, was previously convicted of one count of lewd and indecent practices.

The 65-year-old received a prison term of two years and three months when he was sentenced at Stornoway Sheriff Court today (Thurs).

The court was told the offence involved incidents which took place on various occasions - including at Coll Beach, Lewis, as well as within a car and at other locations in the 1980s.
