Highlands and Islands Labour MSP, David Stewart, has urged Citylink to provide more buses between Iverness and Ullapool for the extra passengers using the additional Stornoway ferry summer sailings.
Mr Stewart said: “It is great that extra Friday and Saturday sailings have been put on between Ullapool and Stornoway for the summer but people need to be able to get to Ullapool to get the sailings.
"This is peak tourist time for the islands and next week’s HebFest will bring thousands of new tourists in to the area, boosting the local economy no end but we need to make sure they can get there.
