Highlands and Islands Labour MSP, Rhoda Grant, is to meet with Citylink bosses to discuss the ongoing problems with travel connections to and from the Ullapool ferry.
Difficulties are heightened during peak travel periods such as the festive period and during HebCelt.
Rhoda Grant said people are expected to book seats on the bus at least two days before travel.
She highlighted: “This isn’t always possible. Travel isn’t always planned, sometimes
people have to travel at short notice or in an emergency so don’t have the 48 hours
required to pre-
“Some constituents have contacted me telling me that, after being stuck in Inverness for the night if the ferry isn’t sailing, they can’t get on the bus the next day as they hadn’t booked the 48 hours ahead.

Mrs Grant continued “It’s just not good enough. Citylink acknowledge there are problems and tell me they are committed to learning from previous failings. I have contacted them for a date to meet with a view to getting this debacle sorted out.”
