Hebrides News

The MV Hebrides will run a shuttle service to try and clear a backlog of ferry traffic between Uist and Skye on Tuesday.

The vessel is being sent back up to her usual Uig triangle route after just three days of operating on the Tiree service.

Cal Mac maintained her redeployment was the “best solution” during a fleet reshuffle to cover for the absence of the damaged Clansman on the Islay service and the drydocking of the Isle of Arran.

The Hebrides plans to make two return trips from Uig to Lochmaddy over the day.

A run to Tarbert is scheduled at 6.30pm - the third day there will be no sailing out of Harris.

Meanwhile, Lochboisdale sailings are being diverted to Oban as the Hebridean Isles is back on the run. The Heb Isles cannot  operate to Mallaig.
