Tagsa Uibhist, in partnership with Cothrom Ltd., has supported six of their staff to complete the SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare.

This qualification is a mandatory requirement for care staff so that they can be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

The SSSC registers key groups of social service workers in Scotland and this includes people working in social work, social care and early years.

Pictured above are left to right: Kathryn Martin (Tagsa Care manager), Melanie Wightman, Mary MacPhee, Tracey Walker, Jeanne Wightman (Cothrom tutor) and Gail Malcolm.  Missing from the picture are Geraldine MacKinnon and Grace MacKinnon.

A new intake of students has started on the course.
