Two year alcohol ban 31/1/14
Donald John Macaulay of 11 Cearn Tharasaidh, Stornoway, was placed on a two year
alcohol testing order when he appeared at Stornoway Sheriff Court today.
The 54-year-old was also banned from drinking alcohol for 24 months.
Macaulay previously pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour by frightening two women
and persistently refusing to stop making menacing remarks to them at Stornoway’s
Macaulay Road Co-op in November.
He had also admitted making menacing comments in phone calls to a female at her workplace.
In addition, Macaulay accepted he failed to fulfil a community payback order imposed
last year after he was convicted of buying alcohol for a 13-year-old boy in 2012.
Sheriff David Sutherland also called for monthly reports from Macaulay’s employer
regarding his work attendance.
