Two hurt on luxury sailing yacht 20/6/14
Two crew on a luxury sailing yacht were hurt when the vessel ran aground in West
Loch Tarbert.
The pair were taken to hospital in Stornoway.
One sustained a head wound while the other cut their arm when the Rebecca hit hard
ground.
They contacted coastguards around 6pm on Wednesday and the injured crew were landed
nearby. They were taken by ambulance for medical treatment.
The 42-metre long aluminium two-masted ketch was refloated on the tide and headed
for harbour fto check for damaged.
The American-flagged 15-year-old boat has just recently come out of a significant
refit in Falmouth.
