Coastguards were called out to search for a man lost on the moor on Wednesday evening.
The man lost his bearings after fishing for trout on a freshwater loch miles off the Pentland Road.
Stornoway coastguard were alerted and a rescue team went out to look for him.
He was located trying to find his way back to the road, around half a mile out on the moor.
