Eating shellfish in East Loch Roag in Lewis may pose a risk to human health due to toxins in the water it is warned.

 

Notices to alert people and casual gatherers have been posted at various locations on the shore.

 

Harvesting of shellfish are being postponed until levels subside.

 

The Comhairle said it would continue to monitor the situation.
