The Barra and South Uist ferry will change its timetable on Thursday  and Friday to avoid the risk of grounding on the low tide in Loch Boisdale.

The ship will unload in Uist first and then head for Castlebay on Thursday night.

There will be no overnight sailing back to Oban.

Instead, the vessel will depart Barra at 7.40am on Friday to pick up passengers in Lochboisdale, arriving at the mainland after 2pm.
