Threatening behaviour

A man who repeatedly banged on the inside of a police vehicle on the way between Harris and Stornoway police station has been fined £400.

John Kennedy of 203 Tiree Crescent, Newmains, Wishaw, admitted the threatening behaviour when he appeared at Stornoway Sheriff Court this week.

The court heard the 34-year-old shouted, swore, spat and made verbal threats of violence on the journey from Tarbert on 28 November.
